SUMMER SEASON 2025 OPENING
The hotel will open for summer on Friday 4 April and close Wednesday 29 October.
The restaurant will operate weekend evenings from May through September and every evening from the end of July to the end of August.
GREEK EASTER 2025
Orthodox Easter falls 18-21 April.
The epitafios leaves the church on Friday evening for the procession around the village.
At midnight after the service on Saturday the priest brings the light outside the church and passes it to the crowd to signify that Christ is risen.
After the storms of 2023, the main infrastructure of the region has been repaired; bridges replaced and roads mended and major footpaths have been opened. However, some of the more remote tracks are still being investigated and assessed for repair work and re-routing.
The Lost Unicorn hotel is a charming and intimate hotel off the beaten tourist track in one of Greece's most beautiful mountainous regions in the eastern part of central Greece in Tsagarada, Pelion.
According to Greek mythology, Pelion is the region Greek gods chose to holiday and celebrate and it's easy to see why they would - it is famous for its rich heritage and historical architecture. Tsagarada boasts the oldest and largest plane tree in Europe, the deepest gorge in Pelion, (Mylopotamos Gorge) as well as the amazing beaches of Milopotamos, Fakistra and Karavostasia Bay.
Tsagarda has four districts marked by a square, each named after the church of the region - Agios Taxiarchis, Agia Paraskevi, Agios Stefanos and Agia Kiriaki. Each region is connected by a network of stone paths offering you countless walking opportunities around the region.
The Lost Unicorn Hotel offers eight rooms and occupies an 19th century mansion on the edge of Agia Paraskevi square - it features a magical flower-filled terrace from where guests can enjoy fine quality European and modern Greek cuisine with a selection of the best Greek wines while overlooking the oldest Plane Tree in Europe.
All rooms have private bathrooms and most have balconies and high ceilings with colonial fans or air conditioning. The hotel features a well-stocked library where guests can relax and enjoy a book or listen to vinyl records. and an aristocratic Salon filled with antiques where guests can have a drink from the bar.
